Doctors, and their secretarial staff receive request for appointment from the patient on Medexthat has a very well-orchestrated appointment generation system.Registered patients having viewed the doctor’s profile and their available timeslots on the Patient Portal can directly request an appointmentfor In-clinic visit or a video consultation session or even for an in-home visit (for elderly or bed-ridden patients etc.). Further, patients can request for an appointment on phone call to the doctor or his Secretary.
Once, request is recorded on the system, it is accepted or declined by the doctor. Patient will receive an email and an SMS informing the status of appointment as “Scheduled” or Declined due to changes in availability of the doctor or some other administrative reasons.
Once, appointment is “Scheduled”, patient receives an SMS and an email asking him to make payment for the appointment having status as “Scheduled”.Patient can make payments for the scheduled appointments through EasyPaisa, JazzCash, Visa and Master Cards, through MedEx scratch cards or in Cash.
On receiving the payment, MedEx will change the appointment status from “Scheduled” to “Confirmed” and the patient is intimated accordingly through SMS and email.
Doctor or the authorized secretarial staff of the clinic may cancel or reschedule appointments due to change in condition of patient or unavailability of doctor due to other high priority engagements.
